About the Grumman A-6A Intruder
The Intruder A-6A was developed as the first all-weather carrier-based fighter of the U.S. Air Force. First deployed in 1963, it was adopted by actual operational units from as early as 1965. Production of the early model reached close to 500 aircraft, with the early model widely used during the Vietnam War for night attack operations.
