1/12 Scale Big Scale Racing Car Series No.39

The 1971 Constructors' & Drivers' World Champion
During the 1968 F1 season, the Tyrrell Racing team raced using the Matra-Ford car. The following year with the extremely fast Jackie Stewart at the helm, Tyrrell raced away with the drivers' championship. However, at the 1970 11th round Canadian Grand Prix, Team Tyrrell's F1 car "001" made its debut which was powered by a DFV engine and showed off its new specially designed chassis.

With its fulltime competition entry in 1971, special versions "003" was driven by team driver Jackie Stewart and "002" was driven by Tyrrell's second driver Fracois Cevert. Providing this awesome piece of machinery with improved performance and aero dynamics was a sports car modeled nose and an induction pod situated above the engine. With these revolutionary designs, team drivers Jackie Stewart and Francois Cevert went on to win 7 of the 11 championship rounds which gave Jackie Steward his second Drivers' World Championship and Tyrrell the Constructors' Championship
