The Racing Pyramid
For the 1975 F1 season, team drivers Carlos Reutemann and Carlos Pace drove the Martini & Rossi sponsored BT44B to an impressive 2nd place in the Constructor's Championship. Legendary F1 designer Gordon Murray joined the Brabham team and first designed the BT42. It was lightweight, compact, aero-dynamic and featured a distinctive pyramid monocoque design.

The BT42 was improved upon for both the 1974 and 1975 F1 seasons and were named the BT44 and BT44B respectively. The 1975 season saw the BT44B record strong results including Carlos Pace winning the Brazilian GP and Carlos Reutemann also winning the German GP. It was said that the BT44B was the 1975 season's strongest machine.
