TAMIYA War Bird Collection No.72

About the Macchi MC202 Folgore
The Macchi MC202 Folgore was one of the best fighters produced by Italy during WWII. Using the Alpha Romeo RA1000 RC41-1 engine, which was a license-built version of a Daimler-Benz liquid-cooled engine, the Folgore could reach speeds of up to 600km/h at 5,600 meters and could climb to 5,000 meters in under 5 minutes.

Together with the Luftwaffe, this plane fought for air superiority against the Allies in the skies above North Africa and Italy.
