About USS Susquehanna sidewheel steam frigate(Black Ships)
Susquehanna was completed in December 1850 at the Philadelphia Naval Depot. It was immediately assigned to the East India Fleet, and used in 1853 for the Japanese expedition of Perry's Admiral.
Susquehanna is the largest of the four fleets of the expedition to Japan, with a total displacement of 3,824 tons. Speed ​​is estimated 8 knots. The number of crew members is 300.
